Students, professors and workers of the University of Holguín develops from today a wide program of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Institution on November 4th.

 

The Salto del Guayabo waterfall registers this year around 6,000 nationals and foreign visitors. This figure constitutes an annual record for that tourist facility belonging to the Flora and Fauna Company, attached to the Ministry of Agriculture.

 

"We hope that these days participants can exchange and learn more about the culture of our people," said Eduardo Rafael Ávila Rumayor, President of the Organizing Committee for the 24th Ibero-American Culture Festival, during the opening of the 13th Ibero-American Congress of Thought started on 25th of October in the city of Holguín.

 

The Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Dr. Antonio Núñez Jiménez, of Moa, in Holguín province, welcomes today the activities for the celebration of the Geology and Mining Workers, set on October 24.
