The museums of the city of Holguín treasure historic events and documents that transcend over time by the heritage, cultural and historical content of the eastern city, located more than 700 kilometers in the east of Havana.

 

As part of the activities for the celebration of the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 300 anniversary of the foundation of the town of Holguín, it was reopened the emblematic restaurant Polinesio, located in the 12-floor building of this eastern city.

 

The Cristino Naranjo sugar mill, one of the five existing in the province of Holguín, started the 2019-2020 sugar harvest in the eastern territory after concluding the maintenance works of its manufacturing facilities.

 

Debates around the thinking and actions of Fidel Castro throughout history were carried out in the colloquium organized by the Cuban Workers Federation in Holguín, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the death of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, on November 25, 2016.
