Pru production of great acceptance among the people of Holguin

Martin Pupo Marrero, director of the Business Unit (UEB) Pedro Diaz Coello, of the Beverages and Soft Drinks Company (Ember) in Holguin, did not need market research to predict the incorporation of pru production into the entity's production it would be a wise decision.
 
The refreshing beverage of artisanal elaboration in this eastern region of the island is a fermented drink extracted from the root of the plant called Bejuco Ubi.

After 10 months of the start-up of the small processing and bottling plant, its acceptance remains high.

With a production of 10 boxes of 24 bottles, the pru is commercialized in four gastronomic units of the provincial capital for the value of a Cuban peso.

Martin said that the Bejuco de Ubi is obtained in the hills that border the UEB, located towards the west exit of the city. The rest of the ingredients, sweet pepper and Indian cassava, are guaranteed by an herbalist from the neighboring province of Granma.

He assured that “both the filling line and the bottle washer are the result of the innovative capacity of the specialists and technicians of the UEB.”

“Quality is the key to the acceptance of the beverage, because we are careful to add each ingredient at the right time, and the safety is guaranteed by the inspectors located in the bottling line, where the container is checked before and after filling”.
The peculiar and refreshing drink is attributed aphrodisiac and therapeutic effects.
