In the province of Holguín, more than a hundred Gastronomy units and several Technical and Personal Services workshops have benefited after establishing links with commercial entities in the territory, such as the Universal Company and the Wholesaler of Food Products and other Consumer Goods. 
There are several visits to the stand of the University of Holguin (UHo) at the 2018 International University Congress taking place in Havana, Cuba, with the participation of more than 2,500 delegates. 
Health authorities in the province of Holguin have implemented actions to address the strategy of attention to aging population in response to the increase of senior citizens in this eastern territory, which reports19.7 percent, very similar to the national rate of 19.8. 
A A Holguín delegation composed of 47 members is participating in the 11th International Congress Universidad 2018, taking place in Havana from February 12 to 16.
