Cuba's Prime Minister Manuel Marrero urged this Sunday at the 9th ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power of Gibara in Holguin, urged to strengthen agriculture in the municipalities from their own potential, to meet the needs of the people.

The main event to celebrate the Educator’s Day at the University of Holguín took place on Thursday in the theater of the José de la Luz y Caballero university campus, with the presence of teachers, students, service personnel and directors.

 Holguín will develop the day "Leer la historia" (Read History), dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, with the aim to promote the teaching of this subject, one of the strategies of the educational system on the Island.

The 65th anniversary of the taking of Sagua de Tánamo, a Cuban city bombed by the Batista tyranny's aircraft and one of the most important battles fought by the Rebel Army in its final offensive to overthrow it, was celebrated today in this Holguín municipality.
