Holguín to host Symposium of Social Sciences and the Arts

The second edition of the "ConcienciArte" Symposium of Social Sciences and the Arts to be held in Holguín on July 11 and 12 with extensive in-person and virtual participation, was announced on Wednesday at press conference.
The event, organized by the Provincial Center for Improvement for Culture, the Provincial Directorate of Culture and the university publishing house Conciencia Ediciones, aims to socialize the results of research by professionals of culture, arts and social sciences linked to community work, promotion, improvement, training and cultural management.
This symposium will address various thematic lines, including “Popular and local culture: a look at resistance" and "Memory and nation". In addition, it will be dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Conciencia Ediciones and to the research and teaching work of the M.Sc. Georgelina Miranda Peláez.
The organizing committee shared the program of activities, in which it stands out the opening conference by Dr.C. Alejandro Torres Gómez from Cádiz, the pre-event workshop "Publication in electronic journals: new challenges for the academic community", taught by the M.Sc. Minelis Tamayo Megret and the M.Sc. Anabel La O Bacallao. In addition, it will feature artistic presentations and panels related to culture and the arts.
