The 44th edition of Havana's International Festival of New Latin American Cinema starts this Friday until December 17, with 199 films in competition, including 39 from Cuba and 12 co-productions.

The Ministry of Culture, the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) and local governments called on Monday for the 18th Gibara International Film Festival, to take place from August 6 to 10, 2024.

The Raúl Camayd hall of the Eddy Suñol Theater in Holguín hosted the political and cultural gala " Te vemos por todas partes” (We See You Everywhere), with which the people of this eastern city paid tribute to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of his physical disappearance.

Holguín mourns the death of soloist and composer William Cordero who died at the age of 81. He was one of the trainers of the new generations of musicians from this eastern territory, both in lyrical theater and popular music.
