International Book Fair 2024 concludes in Holguín

The closing gala of the 32nd Edition of the Holguín International Book Fair took place on Sunday at the Casa de la Música, belonging to the Musical Recordings and Editions Company (Egrem) of Holguín.
With the interpretation of a classic Brazilian song by the Codanza Company, the evening began with the participation of local artistic talent from Holguín.
A key moment of the cultural event was the interpretation of a fragment of “The man who came to read” by Emerio Medina, to whom this edition of the fair was dedicated.
In the presence of Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Holguín, Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of the province and Yakelin Tapia Aguilera, provincial director of Culture, the Provincial Book and Literature Center was recognized Literature with the Provincial Community Culture Award awarded by the Provincial Center of Culture Houses.
Recognitions were also given to the Lugones Printing house for the efforts made in achieving the Holguín editorial plan, to the José Miró Argenter Polygraphic Company for its collaboration for the Holguín Territorial Editions System, to the Provincial Center of Culture Houses for its collaboration in general program of the International Book Fairs in Holguín and to the Wilfredo Williams bookstore and the Ateneo Villena-Botev bookstore-tent for their promotion of reading.
