The books “Memorias desde el Sur” and “Guayza, la niña taína”, by local writers Víctor Aguilera Nonell and Juan Guarch Rodríguez, respectively, are among the books to be launch this year by La Mezquita publishing house of the Union of Historians of Cuba in the eastern province.

Cuba´s Chief Epidemiologist, Dr. Francisco Duran Garcia, announced that given the high percentage of vaccination achieved, authorities have decided to lift some measures to make it more flexible for travelers coming from other countries to visit the island.
Cuba reiterated on Wednesday its commitment to global efforts to address climate change, but made clear the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities, which should not be forgotten by developing countries in the current context.
