Holguín celebrates the World Storytelling Day

With the title "For a world for stories" and under the auspices of the Palabras al Viento Company, the event for the World Day of Oral Narration takes place in the province of Holguín from February 20 to March 20, an event celebrated every year on this date.
The program of activities includes workshops, conferences, artistic presentations and cultural exchanges, co-organized by the Mayra Navarro Honorary Chair of Oral Narration and the Casa del Cuento Cultural Center.
Art instructors in the specialty of theater who teach oral narration will participate in the Workshop "Stories on stage", on March 1st; while children and adolescents who are fans of this event will attend the workshop "The story I don't know", on the 5th of March.
The celebration will have the participation of local writers Liset Prego and Rubén Rodríguez and troubadour Lay Verdecia.
The program will conclude with the presentation of styles and techniques of oral narration by the Palabras al Viento Company and its guests at Casa del Cuento, on March 20.
Founded in 2004 to promote oral narration in a territory with a recognized path in storytelling, " Palabras al Viento" holds awards such as the City of Holguín Awards, Contarte Awards for its career, María Teresa Garcines Chair Award and the Juglar Honorífico, granted by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (Uneac).
