Cuba´s Chief Epidemiologist, Dr. Francisco Duran Garcia, announced that given the high percentage of vaccination achieved, authorities have decided to lift some measures to make it more flexible for travelers coming from other countries to visit the island.
As of next Wednesday, April 6, travelers arriving in Cuba will no longer need to present any PCR or antigen test upon entering the country or proof of the complete vaccination schedule.
However, the mandatory use of masks will be kept, and random screening will be carried out.
Dr. Duran added that all airports would be randomly taken samples, especially from travelers from countries where the incidence of COVID-19 is higher.
The expert emphasized that any positive person detected when entering national territory will be subject to the protocols established for such cases.
