The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder) announced on Tuesday the suspension of all national and international events and competitions convened in Cuba until July 31, as part of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The progress of the recovery of the productive areas of the municipality of Mayarí and their preparation to continue the sowing of the cold campaign were checked by the highest authorities of the Party and Government of the province of Holguín, on a recent tour of this territory in eastern Holguín.

Cuba´s Chief Epidemiologist, Dr. Francisco Duran Garcia, announced that given the high percentage of vaccination achieved, authorities have decided to lift some measures to make it more flexible for travelers coming from other countries to visit the island.
