The Nickel Mechanical Company (EMNi), located in the mining region of Moa, in the province of Holguin, develops technological solutions destined to imports substitution and increasing the availability of inputs.

Ramon Labañino Demar, a specialist at the industry, told the Cuban News Agency that the company is dedicated to mechanical design and the production of metal structures and parts for light vehicles and trucks.

He added that the company is also involved in the manufacture of valves and other components for milling animal feed, as well as dry aggregates for the housing construction program.

The EMNi also manufactures devices for pumping water and rotors of electric motors of different dimensions used in heavy industry, the specialist said.

The company, he pointed out, also provides capital repair services for equipment designed for minerals throwing, whose program has among its objectives the local manufacturing of all the pieces used, previously purchased at high costs in the international market.

These technological solutions contribute to mitigate the negative effects of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. government against Cuba, which limits the purchase of spare parts and components of machinery and other equipment.

The Nickel Mechanical Company was founded on July 24, 1987 with the objective of maintaining the technical and operational availability of that Cuban industry, with high technical and operational quality. / ACN
