So far, only Leuris Pupo will attend Tokyo-2020

So far the sport shooter Leuris Pupo is the only Holguin athlete to integrate the Cuban delegation to the Olympic Games, which will be held in the summer of this year in Tokyo, capital of Japan.
The current situation and classification probabilities indicate that it is difficult for another Holguin athlete to participate in this sporting event.
If so, it will be the smallest participation this eastern region has had since athletes from here debuted in Mexico City-1968 Games, when seven competitors attended.
The largest participation corresponds to Sydney, Australia-2000, when 11 Holguin athletes attended the event.
In the most recent Olympics, Rio de Janeiro-2016, four Holguin athletes made up the Cuban delegation, but no medals were achieved.
For Leuris, 25-meter rapid-fire pistol champion, in London, England-2012, it will be his sixth Olympic Games, being the one with the most participation in those big events.
Holguin athletes have won 17 medals: nine golds, four silver and five bronzes in these events.
