Leuris Pupo wins Pan American gold medal

With his rapid-fire pistol, the Holguín athlete Leuris Pupo won the gold medal this Sunday at the XIX Pan American Games taking place in Santiago, Chile.
This is Leuris' third gold medal in continental events, ranking him the first among men to add that number of titles in these competitions in Holguín sports.
Pupo had also won the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo-2003 and Rio de Janeiro-2007.
Olympic champion and silver medallist, he ranks among the best shooters in the world.
Leuris is already qualified for the Paris-2024 Olympic Games. Summit event that he will attend for the seventh time.
