Holguín: New camping facilities for current summer season

The first four new camping facilities planned to open to the public this summer season in the province of Holguín are undergoing the completion phase.
The Engineering and Design Services Company of Holguín VÉRTICE, the construction brigades of Emprestur and the Union of Military Constructions (UCM) are in charge of the construction of the new facilities of Antillita and Barrancones, in the municipalities of Antilla; Morales, in the municipality of Banes and Carenerito beach, in “Frank País”, all located in bathing areas on the northeastern coast.
According to officials from the Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism, the works are progressing at a good pace.
Each of these facilities will have tents with capacity for four and six campers; toilets for men and women; restaurant and recreation areas for children, youth and adults.
José Luis Ramírez Silva, Commercial of the Provincial Company of Popular Camping said that in addition to increasing the accommodation capacity of the entity, these facilities are another healthy recreational option and constitute a new source of employment for the residents of the areas where they are located.
The nearly 50 workers who will work in the new facilities have received training courses at the Formatur school of Holguín, in order to provide a quality service to visitors.
Holguín currently has campsites located in Playa Blanca, Silla de Gibara, Casa del Vaquero, Río Cabonico and Villa Cromita, whose capacities for the current summer season have sold, but reservations can be done until December 31.
