Emblematic gastronomic places reopen in Holguín

Photo: Carlos RafaelAs part of the activities for the celebration of the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 300 anniversary of the foundation of the town of Holguín, it was reopened the emblematic restaurant Polinesio, located in the 12-floor building of this eastern city.
After undergoing an extensive investment process, which exceeded one million Cuban pesos, the gastronomic facility is ready to receive the people of Holguín and provide a service of quality, explained to the local newspaper !ahora! Mario Álvarez Chales, director of the Provincial Accomodation and Gastronomy Company (EPAG).
The director of the EPAG explained that the main dishes are elaborated with pork meat, chicken, beef, fish and seafood. In addition, it is expected to strengthen pastries and cocktails to add authenticity to the offers.
On the other hand, the Restaurant 1545 located near the Julio Grave de Peralta park, resumed its services after a renovation process that included the replacement of the sanitary networks and bathroom furniture, the installation of a gas extractor in the kitchen, new climatization equipment and patio furniture, Chales added.
Nelson Teruel, administrator of the establishment, highlighted the excellent condition of the facility after the restoration and expressed his commitment to maintain the attention that customers deserve.
The Elaboration Center of the Accommodation and Gastronomy Company, which has among its missions to supply meat and sausage products to the gastronomic and commercial facilities also reopened its services with better constructive conditions and equipment, explained its administrator Néstor Fernández .
In that context, Ernesto Santiesteban, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Holguín, recognized the progress and insisted on the need to make the most of the installed capacity and the importance of the management of workers to sustain the supply to the different entities of the sector.
The Rincón de Romerías, a local development project belonging to the Art Services Company, the only one of its kind in Cuba, also re-established its activities.
This site, with more than three years of creation, is characterized by the freshness of its atmosphere and fast food offerings, to which local artistic talent is added.
Both the Polinesio, as Rincón de Romerías and the restaurant 1545 are special proposals for residents and visitors. The reopening of these facilities provides vitality to an attractive and wonderful city that will celebrate three centuries of history on April 2020.
