Holguín Workers Involved in Elaboration of Plans and Budgets

The meetings to discuss the plan and budget at each labor union are held in Holguín until the 15th of this month. Photos: Elder LeyvaHuman resources in Cuba acquire greater prominence in the production and service processes because, besides being fundamental for the realization of such indicators, it now has more participation in establishing the plans and budgets of the entities.
In this regard, each labor union in the province of Holguín will held meetings until July 15 in order to establish production plans and budgets for 2020.
Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic establishes the participation of workers in the establishment, monitoring and verification of the plan and budget of their work centers.The process has a participatory character, as workers will centre debates on what they are going to produce, the quantity, the possible exportable items, how to substitute imports, as well as the investment needs from the potential of each entity, taking into account the economic and financial conditions of the country.
Carlos Suárez Batista, representative of the Provincial Committee of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC) in Holguín, explained that this is not a fortuitous process, but the materialization of one of the agreements of the 21st Workers Congress, as well as the implementation of article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic that establishes the participation of workers in the establishment, monitoring and verification of the plan and budget of their work centers.
