The Cuban Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marrero Cruz, announced in his Twitter account the completion of the Bahía del Almirante hotel, the fifth of the municipality of Gibara, in Holguín.
Marrero said that the property, belonging to the Iberostar group, is all luxury and will soon open its doors.

The first construction phase includes six colonial-style rooms, snack restaurant, lobby and interior patio.
In a second phase, a building will be annexed to the rear side with 25 more rooms that, once completed, will make this hotel plant the largest capacity with 31 places for accommodation.

Gibara, a coastal city founded 200 years ago and declared a National Monument in 2004, was launched as tourist product during the International Tourism Fair, FitCuba 2017.

Cuba reached on last May 6 two million international tourists despite the recurrent defamatory campaigns and the reinforcement of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States. / ACN
