The National Office for the Control and Rational and Efficient Use of Energy (ONURE) in the province of Holguín is increasing its inspection actions in the state sector, in order to contribute with more rigorous measures to the saving of energy carriers in benefit of the country's economy.
Aniuska Pérez López, head specialist in the eastern territory, said that in the first four months of the year they carried out more than a thousand monitoring activities focused mainly on the treatment offered to diesel fuel, using the procedures and standards included in Resolution 152/18 issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
Based on the results of the inspections, she explained, each Holguín company must devise a plan to eradicate the deficiencies found by the specialized commission and make possible the improvement of the indicators in pursuit of energy efficiency, since the monitoring actions show specific data in relation to the use of oil or gasoline in different entities.
The deteriorated consumption indexes, the use of non-certified or out-of-date distance tables, multiple use of prepaid cards, as well as non-compliance in fleet inspection procedures are among the most common problems during this period, said Pérez López.
The studies also allowed knowing that the main causes of these alterations are the lack of administrative control, the noncompliance with the current regulations and the absence of supervision by the higher organisms, she noted.
Founded in 2012, ONURE is a leading consulting office in the energy services market that has the mission of regulating, controlling and inspecting processes for the efficient use of energy carriers in Cuba.
