Holguín promotes as tourist destination for summer 2021

Club Amigo Guardalavaca hotel is the main plaza for national tourists.
Looking ahead to the 2021 summer period and within the framework of the Romerías de Mayo event, the Holguín destination develops a wide promotional program of its tourism product in alliance with other sectors, such as Culture and different tourist offices in Europe, America and national receptors.
From Monday to Thursday this week, Guardalavaca resort will be the main stage for multiple proposals, including a Nautical Festival to be held next day 5 on the beach of the same name and Pesquero.
All prevention protocols against COVID-19 are complied with in Guardalavaca.
Yaíma Suárez, subdelegate of the Ministry of Tourism in the eastern territory, said that on Tuesday and Thursday from the Tourism Observatory in Holguín, direct communication will be established with various representations of Cuba in Europe and America to promote the benefits of the eastern destination and specifically the province.
She explained that these months of confrontation with COVID-19 and without international operations have been used to promote investments and maintenance tasks in the hotel and non-hotel network of the destination, including an International Diving Center, next to the Brisas Guardalavaca hotel and a bakery-sweet shop that will meet the demand of the host facility.

In addition, the rooms of the different hotels, as well as public areas, ranchones, lobby and swimming pools are undergoing renovation and maintenance works, while the capacities of Popular Camping are increased with the completion of new bases in Caletones and Los Bajos, both in beach areas.
Undoubtedly, the biggest novelty will be the entry into operation of the Hotel Gran Muthu Almirante Beach, next July 1st, the first sun and beach resort of the Cubanacán group in eastern Cuba, with a five-star category located in Guardalavaca, which will increase the capacities in this destination and the possibilities of serving another market segment.
