Holguín writers at Beijing International Book Fair

The Holguín writers Lourdes González and Luis Yuseff are among the Cuban delegates to the 27th Edition of the Beijing International Book Fair, held from September 26 to 30.
Although the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented Cubans from attending the meeting, a diverse delegation of artists from the island participated in the digital event.
The books “Los perros de Amundsen”, by local writerJosé Luis Serrano is also among the titles presented in the book fair. Two dozen renowned authors and representatives of 16 Cuban publishing houses made up the delegation that from the different digital platforms has presented the genres, aesthetics and diverse styles existing in the Cuban book industry.
The literary event was dedicated to Cuba as the guest of honor and to 60 years of diplomatic relations between both nations, a courtesy that shows the support of this important commercial ally for the promotion of publishing houses and the national polygraphic industry.
China was the guest of honor at the 2018 Havana International Book Fair.
