The 20th Iberoarte International Craft Fair, organized every year by the Holguín branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC), returns in 2022 to the Cuban City of Parks from November 4 to 20.
The appointment that dedicates its current edition to Peruvian handicrafts brings together more than 120 Cuban and foreign exhibitors in an extensive program of activities that includes business rounds, fashion shows, plastic arts exhibitions and concerts.
Carmen Hernández, commercial director of the FCBC of Holguín, said that the event will have the participation of more than 70 foreign delegates from Latin American and European countries, such as Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Spain, Holland and Russia, the latter, for the first time, in the event.
With main venues in the Expo Holguín fairgrounds and in the Plaza de la Marqueta, the sales spaces will be open to the public between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for the sale of goldsmith products, household goods, ornamental plants, furniture, footwear, textiles and dolls, among others.
The Lote visual arts project that has accompanied Iberoarte since its creation in 2001 will return with the most representative of Holguín plastic arts in exhibitions that will take place in the Fausto Cristo gallery of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, as well as in the gallery spaces El Zaguán of the FCBC and the lobby of the Pernink hotel.
Yamilé Escalona, communication specialist, recalled that Iberoarte has a competitive nature, so at the close of the Craft Fair, the awards for the best products, the best stand, fashion show and most comprehensive model will be announced.
Considered the most important International Craft Fair outside of Havana, Iberoarte brings together several institutions from the northeastern territory such as the Musical Recordings and Editions Company (Egrem), the Artistic and Literary Productions Company (Artex), the UEB “Acts and Events ” and the Provincial Center for Books and Literature.
