Putin, Maduro Analyze Strategic Partnership Reinforcement

President Vladimir Putin and his Venezuelan peer, Nicolas Maduro, are analyzing on Wednesday how to enhance bilateral strategic partnership, energy cooperation and a broad international agenda.
 
In October 2017, Maduro attended the 'Russian Energy Week' Forum, in which he addressed, before meeting with Putin.
 
The High Level Intergovernmental Commission will hold its 14th session in 2019 first quarter, the Kremlin press service said.
 
Several meetings were held in October 2018 in Caracas and Havana by Venezuelan co-chairman of the aforementioned commission, Vice President for Economic Affairs Tareck El-Aissami, with his Russian peer, Yuri Borisov.
 
Both statesmen will analyze on Wednesday the bilateral cooperation, including the economic-commercial sphere, the Kremlin reported.
 
In 2017, the commercial exchange was $68.4 million USD, while from January to September 2018, the figure increased considerably compared to the same period last year, reaching $79.4 million USD.
 
Both countries also implement joint investment projects in energy, agriculture, geological exploration, pharmaceutical, communications, information technology, nuclear medicine and technical-military cooperation.
 
Russia has invested in Venezuela about $4.1 billion USD, the presidential press service reported. / PL
