The University of the Arts in the province of Holguín continues the comprehensive artistic training of its students through various projects from digital platforms, which contribute to the cultural development of the northeastern territory.
Isabel García Granados, director of this institution, said to the ¡ahora! local newspaper the projections for this 2021 include the creation of an audiovisual program that will circulate through the profiles of the institution on social networks and on the official website of the institution, which will reflect the characteristics of artistic teaching in higher education through the criteria of students and teachers.
Granados said that another of the products currently in circulation is the online concert "250 Beethoven" by the Holguín Symphony Orchestra, which was recorded with the participation of students from the Faculty of Audiovisual Media and had as guests five soloists from the specialty of singing.
She added that at this time the training of students from a distance through WhatsApp groups is a priority, an alternative through which study guides, audiovisual materials are socialized and doubts are channeled from constant exchange with teachers.
She noted that this time of isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic should also be used in order to guide the viewing of classic Cuban and international films, as well as the reading of literary works essential for their professional training.
Most of the Holguín young people studying at the main headquarters in Havana continue linked to the University, including students of the specialty of composition, dramaturgy and dance art. In the case of the musicology student, she is making comments and criticisms of art to online presentations of her classmates, while preparing to support the solfeggio discipline at the José María Ochoa Music Conservatory using social networks.
The University of the Arts in the province of Holguín brings together about 120 students from the five eastern provinces and Camagüey in the specialties of singing, photography, editing, sound, production and direction.
