Holguín to hold 3rd Vocal Ensembles Festival “Vocalis”

The III Vocal Groups Festival “Vocalis” will take place from February 17 to 19 in the city of Holguín, aiming to preserve vocal art and choral groups.
The event, whose main venue will be the Hotel Saratoga, will feature various ensembles that seek to elevate choral singing, following the success of the previous two editions, which were well-received by the local audience.
The opening of “Vocalis” will feature performances by Voces de Ángeles, the Aria Nova choir, and the select choir of the “Raúl Gómez García” Elementary School of Art, and will take place this Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
The program includes the “Artistic Education Concert” and the “Convergence Concert” with the Vocal Monier group as host, both at the Holguín branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets.
The closing concert, under the artistic direction of Orestes Saavedra and the general direction of Milagros Monier, will be held at the Hotel Saratoga, and will feature distinguished guests such as Oscar Fuentes, Feeling Voices, the Holguín Choir, the Aria Nova Choir, the Selective Choir, and the Holguín Symphony Orchestra.
Under the premise “Where the voice makes the heart smile,” the festival promotes choral music in Cuban popular culture.
