Holguín Art Center calls for a remembrance of its history

The Provincial Center for Visual Arts in Holguín (CPAP) has called for artists and art lovers to gather materials and create a physical and virtual exhibition that will share the institution's history and reflect its impact on the region's culture, as part of the activities to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
On its Facebook profile, the CPAP announced its intention to collect items that showcase its work over more than three decades in support of the visual arts.
Submissions include photographs of events and exhibitions, posters and catalogs related to the center's activities, anecdotes and personal testimonials (maximum 250 words), and audio recordings narrating experiences at the institution.
The deadline for submissions is April 30th, and materials can be delivered to the institution itself or sent by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Emails must include the artist's name, contact information, and a brief description of the artwork.
Founded on March 2, 1991, and located on one of the city's most central corners, the Holguín Provincial Center for Visual Arts has exhibited the work of renowned local painters such as Cosme Proenza, Jorge Hidalgo, Armando Gómez and Julio Breff, among others.
