The Holguín Post Office Company lists the conditions required to extend bank draft payment to other municipalities within the eastern territory as a way of bringing this service closer to customers, Jaime Hernández Batista, provincial director of the entity, told ACN.

After conducting a study on the origin of the clients who already receive this benefit, it was decided to extend this service to the municipalities of Calixto García, Gibara and Mayarí, which will operate through the Credit and Commerce Bank (Bandec), said Hernández.

Currently, this service is offered through the International Financial Bank (BFI) in the municipalities of Banes, Moa and Holguín, where two more offices were recently opened, mainly due to the population extension of the main city.

These actions are achieved thanks to the collaboration of the Portal Union with the Americas, Spain and Portugal, from the allocation of various resources, mainly ticket machines and printers to offer this variant of the Mail System.

The Cuban corporation has agreements through this channel with countries such as Spain, Uruguay, Chile and the Dominican Republic, to which Colombia and Peru recently joined, the specialist added.

The payment of bank draft represents a form of insertion of Correos de Cuba business group in electronic commerce, as well as the incorporation of other services that are not the traditional ones of the entity, Hernández Batista pointed out.
