Holguín carries out travelers control in the recovery stage of the Covid-19

The province of Holguín is carrying out the monitoring of travelers with the establishment of a surveillance point in the municipality of Buenaventura, during the the second phase of post-COVID-19 recovery, which began Friday in the territory.
 
Yanelis Calviño, head of the command post of the Provincial Directorate of Public Health, said to the Cuban News Agency that this place connects the territory with the province of Las Tunas and other Cuban territories, and is a mandatory pass for the entry of vehicles and people entering the province, about 700 kilometers east of Havana.

She highlighted that hand washing, the epidemiological survey and temperature taking is carried out in the place, whose records are stored in a database to which all the health areas from the territory can access.

Calviño indicated that there is a team made up of a doctor, a hygiene graduate and an official from the Ministry of the Interior working at the command point, who control the protocol established for each traveler, which also includes 14 days of isolation at home.

She noted that there are also six patients suspected of carrying the SARS-CoV-2 in the province, who are admitted to the Fermín Valdés Domínguez Military Hospital, enabled for this purpose during the confrontation with the pandemic.

As part of the measures corresponding to the second phase of of post-Covid-19 recovery, the outpatient and stomatology services, among others in primary and hospital health care, will also be expanded to 75 percent, Calviño said. / ACN
