The 10th edition of the event Expociencia 2018 begins today in Holguin with the participation of state agencies and self-employed workers from this Cuban eastern territory.
The event will expose the main goods and services of the territory that contribute to science and technological innovation in various sectors, including the nickel industry, graphics and the sale of construction materials.
Non-state activities such as the production of artisanal wines, the sale of gift items and the manufacture of furniture are also included in the agenda for the event, dedicated this year to the 165 anniversary of Jose Martí’s birth.
Dailén Arzuaga, communication specialist at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, told the ACN that the meeting will also pay tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara and Dr. Rosa Elena Simeón, with recognized contributions to the sector.
She noted that next to the exhibition pavilion, the event will feature conferences, panels and scientific workshops dedicated to the exchange of experiences and good practices in the protection of the environment and renewable energy, among other topics.
Expociencia emerged in 2008 as a space for the exchange of experiences among professionals in the sector and is based at the Expo-Holguin Exhibition Center, on Avenida de Los Libertadores. / ACN
