universidad holguín H1The University of Holguin plans to further extend its academic activities in the current year with the signing of new international agreements with counterparts in the United States and Latin America.
David Almaguer, director of International Relations in the institution, explained the importance of these agreements, as every center of high studies needs the visibility of their scientific results to develop and this is only achieved through the exchange of experiences.

He meant that the signing of an agreement with the State University of New York in the coming weeks would become the first agreement that unites the Holguin university students with a North American institution.

He said that the main interests in this regard can be achieved mainly through the experiences and knowledge of students and teachers in the northern country to receive subjects such as Cuban culture, which will be complemented with several options that will allow exchanging about the customs and reality of the Cubans.

Regarding Latin America, he stressed the creation here of a cooperation network on technological innovation with the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla in Mexico.

To this is added the signature, at the end of 2017, with the Catholic University of Chile and the Nicaraguan Evangelical University Martin Luther King, for the realization of international postgraduate courses mainly related to the management of quality in the academic programs of Education Higher.

The University of Holguin, belonging to the Ibero-American University Postgraduate Association, currently has about 170 agreements and letters of intent with institutions in more than 20 countries. The most representative are those of Germany, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador and Colombia.
