Territorial Day of Defense Carried out in Holguin

With the participation of the population and supported by the strategic conception of the War of the whole People, this Sunday was held in the province of Holguin the Territorial Day of Defense, which had the municipality of Rafael Freyre as its main scenario.
Excercises of artillery, evacuation, throwing of grenades, arming and disarming of rifles, displacement, masking in the terrain and neutralization of the enemy were carried out in that area of the north of Holguin.
The strategic conception of the War of the whole People, result of the thought of the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, establishes that in case of aggression each person will have a means, a place and a way to fight until achieving victory.
Marbelis Palau Correa, president of the Municipal Defense Council (CDM), told the Cuban News Agency that the exercise ensures the mobilization of the forces during the transition to the full militant disposition of the management bodies of these structures at the zone level. for exceptional situations.
She highlighted that these demonstrations also involved the Territorial Troops Militias, Production and Defense Brigades, as well as reserve fighters, and the evaluation of the missions of the different groups and subgroups subordinated to the CDM in the Defense Areas of Fray Benito and Santa Lucia, in the municipality of Rafael Freyre.
In this regard Adrian Isla Santiesteban, head of the Food subgroup, explained that his main mission is to supply the population and provide the basic norm of provisions stipulated for wartime.
In this context, he added, the workers are integrated into the Production and Defense Brigades, part of them for defensive purposes and the rest linked to production in the processing centers conceived in the territory.
This exercise helps to perfect the training of the people and the members of each of the structures to ensure an effective response to any enemy attack.
