gibaraPhoto: ACNThe Holguin cultural tourism agency Paradiso expands its commercial offers this year with the creation of a new reservation bureau in the city of Gibara, included among the main attractions for national and foreign visitors in the territory.
Located in the recreational center Siglo XX, the products made are intended to disclose the tangible and intangible heritage of the cities of Gibara and Holguin, Emilio Ortiz, manager of the institution, told the Cuban News Agency.

He explained that the interpretation of heritage constitutes the basic principle of this tourist modality, since each town has its own values and traditions, which give it authenticity, pondering the historical memory and the sociocultural values of its people.

According to Ortiz, the proposals currently being marketed include a tour of the Cuadernos Papiro Workshop Museum, the only one of its kind in Cuba, where visitors can learn about the history of the printing press in the Caribbean nation and appreciate the process of paper manufacturing.

He indicated that in this regard those interested have the possibility to participate, in addition, in a class related to the techniques of engraving and manufacturing of ecological paper, which includes its corresponding accrediting diploma.
Other offers include excursions through the tobacco factory and the Cueva de los Panaderos, as well as visits to the Art Museum, a site that keeps a unique decorative vase in the Caribbean island.

Dance classes and artistic shows with the most native rhythms and traditions of Cuban culture in the cultural centers of Artex such as Casa de la Trova, the Beny Moré Hall and Batería Fernando VII are also among the recreational options proposed by Paradiso.

The Paradiso Travel Agency, belonging to the culture commercial company Artex since its foundation in 1994, proposes an approach to artistic creation through excursions, specialized courses and events such as the Romerías de Mayo and Fiesta de la Cultura Iberoamericana, held each year in the months of May and October in Holguín. / ACN
