The works reopened on December 21 promote improvements for the inhabitants of this town, where the Lidio Ramón Pérez thermoelectric plant, Cuba's main energy-generating industry, is located.
The residents of the community applauded the opening of the new Ideal market and the La Arrolladora winery, which with ample space and firm structure, offer guarantees for the sale of food and the protection of goods.

The restored facilities include the semi-boarding school Amistad con los pueblos, the doctor's office and the family nurse number 37, and the Castillito de Mar children's circle, which has more than 70 children. There is also evidence of the revival of other social works (mixed park, bakery, library, post office and pharmacy), as well as a group of houses and multi-family buildings.

Although steps in the rehabilitation of social facilities are encouraging there, residents in the area also advocate for improvements in public lighting, passenger transportation and diversity in the sale of products. /Radio Angulo
