Cubana de Aviación airline resumes the route that links the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, with the cities of Holguín and Havana, as part of an initiative that promotes cultural and tourist exchange between the two nations.
In statements the commercial director of the Venezuelan tour operator GTN Inversiones, Felix Lopez, said that the inaugural flight also restores the itinerary between both countries after the temporary cessation in May of the operations of the airline.
This commercial route promotes the tourist flow through the agreements between GTN Inversiones, the Cubatur agency and the Cuban airline with the promotion of leisure packages mainly in the tourist destinations of Guardalavaca, in the eastern province of Holguín, Varadero, in Matanzas and Havana.
According to Lopez, this time the route will be restored on a Boeing 737-300, leased to the Italian company Blue Panorama Airlines (BPA), a company with an excellent record of operations between Italy and the Caribbean island.
The Cuban air consortium has been working for years with BPA in operations from the European country, said the commercial director, adding that recently a plane of that line was hired to cover the internal movement of foreign visitors within the Caribbean nation.
The tour operator also announced upcoming departures for the 13th, 20th and 27th December as well as for the next January 3rd and 10th, as well as every Thursday of 2019.
For the next few weeks, Cubana de Aviación will resume the two remaining flights, scheduled for Wednesday and Sunday, to reestablish its three weekly flights between the largest of the Antilles and Venezuela. / ACN
