First IberoStar Selection Hotel in Eastern Cuba Operates in Holguín

The first 5-star hotel, Selection category, of the Spanish chain IberoStar opened in eastern Cuba, went into operation in the province of Holguín since last 16th, according to a note released by the company to the local media.
The facility has 12 different and low-rise buildings, six restaurants, four swimming pools and a tropical garden, very close to the Pesquero beach, in the area known as Estero, a few kilometers from Cayo Bariay, area where the Grand Admiral Cristobal Columbus landed for the first time in the largest of the Antilles, in October of 1492.
Alexei Torres Velázquez, marketing executive of the hotel chain, during a tour of the new facility explained that the hotel has 638 rooms of different categories distributed in bungalows and adapted to all types of customers.
He underlined that the facility has two presidential suites and 60 with the exclusive Star Prestige service, in an area only for adults that covers a wide variety of Premium attentions along with other attractions with privileged views of the beach and its coasts, as well as access to exclusive areas and special services.
As a hallmark of the Spanish company in Cuba, this will also be the first hotel in the east of the island that will have a water park, very popular among children.
This hotel group based in Palma de Mallorca and one of the main Spanish tourist consortiums currently has 120 hotels of 4 and 5 stars in 18 countries on three continents, including Cuba, where they celebrate 25 years of experience in the commercialization of their market.
