At the beginning of this academic year, the University of Holguín has signed agreements with universities in Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, Spain and China.
David Almaguer, director of International Relations of the Holguin institution, stressed to the Cuban News Agency that the centers of reference for education thus form a fruitful and promising alliance.Concrete actions have been defined with the universities that signed, with the U.S. Farmingdale and China's Lanzhou Jiatong, said the director.
Almaguer pointed out that in the case of the U.S., it is planned to send professors to Holguín to participate in the first international conference on transatlantic political-legal dialogue: "Law, Political Science and Society" and to develop a student exchange program between both facilities related to Cuban history, culture and identity.
With the Chinese Lanzhou Jiatong, the activities will take place in the field of languages, starting with the creation of study centres for the language of that nation and Spanish in the case of Cuba.
