Iberostar to Open First Hotel in Cuba with Star Prestige Category

The first hotel with Star Prestige category of the Spanish chain Iberostar will start operations in Cuba next November in the eastern province of Holguin, a province distinguished by its broad potential in the tourism sector of the Caribbean island.
 
Iberostar Holguin is being built near to the Pesquero beach, in the area known as Estero, and will have 638 rooms, of which 576 are distributed in bungalows, 60 with the Star Prestige category and two presidential suites, which offer the comfort and privacy of a boutique hotel within a large resort where you can enjoy a private lounge area and an exclusive beach club.
 
Ana Riscalli, director of operations of Iberostar in eastern Cuba, said that this new hotel will be the first to have this high standard characterized by the exquisite personalized service of customer service.
 
The facility will be the first hotel in the eastern region that will have a water park, an attraction that distinguishes the Spanish company in the Caribbean country and its opening will allow boosting circuit tourism by linking the culture of cities such as Gibara and Santiago de Cuba, with the modality of sun and beach.

The Iberostar chain, main sponsor of the International Film Festival of Gibara, manages in that coastal city the Yacht Club, the Rio de Mares restaurant, the Siglo XX cultural center and El Coral bar, the hotels Ordoño, Arsenita, Plaza Colón and El Faro, in addition to Almirante Bay, which is still under construction.

Riscalli expressed her satisfaction for receiving in these tourist facilities of Gibara renowned personalities from the artistic world such as Silvio Rodríguez, Benicio del Toro, Pancho Céspedes and the Argentines Osvaldo Montes and Fito Páez, who will be in charge of the closing concert of the International Film Festival on Saturday.
