On Monday, the students of the University College of the Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the provinces of Granma and Holguín began their teaching activities at the Manuel Fajardo Rivero headquarters.
The welcoming ceremony for the twelfth grade students was presided over by Yaquelin Cruz Palacios, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Letters; Bárbara Sicilia Rojas, head of the Journalism department and other directors.
"Journalism is an insatiable passion that can only be digested and humanized by its confrontation with reality. Give yourself with passion, use your creativity. Study constantly, new technologies have changed the way we do things," said Bárbara Sicilia Rojas.
The University College, an experience that has been successful in other Houses of Higher Studies, precedes the current call for the Journalism degree. It is the first in the field of social sciences to be incorporated into the aforementioned educational model with the intention of strengthening its instructional quality.
