President of Cuban Parliament visits Holguín Communities

Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament), visited communities and places of socio-cultural interest in the province of Holguín, as part of a parliamentary visit to this eastern territory.
In the community El Paraíso of Alcides Pino People’s Council, Lazo Hernández held an exchange with students and teachers of the elementary school that bears the name of this martyr, about the country's history and Mart’s legacy, essential foundations in the continuity of the Cuban Revolution.
Lazo Hernández stressed the essential role that family and school play in integrated community work, which build specific values to consolidate the future of the country. He also insisted on the work of vocational training from an early age in the school environment.
Until Friday, the presidents, vice presidents and other members of these commissions will visit neighborhoods and communities of the municipalities of Holguín to exchange with workers, students, deputies, constituency delegates, presidents of people’s councils and the population in general.
Julio César Estupiñán Rodríguez, Governor of the province; Ricardo Suárez Martínez, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in the municipality of Holguín; Osmani Viñals García, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the municipality of Holguín, and other local officials are accompanying Lazo on his visit.
