International Conference WEFLA 2018 Starts in Holguin

The XII International Conference on Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture (WEFLA), as well as the XII International Seminar on Canadian Studies, takes place in the Cuban province of Holguin from April 26 to 28. Developed since 1998, WEFLA is one of the most important events on foreign languages held in Cuba. It aims to promote international cooperation and the exchange among professionals on research projects and best practices in applied linguistics and Canadian studies.
Convened by the University of Holguin, with the co-sponsorship of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Western, the Department of Languages of the University of Toronto-Mississauga, the Institute of Official Languages and Bilingualism (ILOB) of the University of Ottawa, the University of Quebec in TroisRiviéres, the Language School of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico and also has the support of the Embassy of Canada in Cuba and the Club Amigo-Atlantico-Guardalavaca Hotel, venue of the event.
The participation of these important univerities has contributed to consolidate the academic and scientific experience in the studies of foreign languages, communication and culture.
WEFLA 2018 will mark the 20 anniversary of its first edition in 1998, in this way the event is reaffirmed as a space for meeting, dialogue and debate of the best experiences in the topics convened.
The agenda includes the accreditation of foreign delegates, courses and pre-conference workshops.
