Entrepreneurs Forum begins in Holguín

The Entrepreneurs Forum began Thursday in the city of Holguín with the aim of promoting the linkage between the state sector and the new economic actors, one of the objectives of the Ordering Task in Cuba.
Julio César Estupiñán Rodríguez, deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power and governor of the territory, said in the opening session that the event has among its objectives to strengthen commercial relations to help meet the demands of the population, through goods and services quality.
He also referred to the importance of not only exchanging and exhibiting, but also devising strategies to strengthen the work of the different branches of the economy in agriculture and tourism, among other spheres, through the insertion of new activities, which translate into in better results for business development.
During the opening of the event, based at the Expo-Holguín Fairgrounds, the panel Digitization of the business sector also held a session, where essential tools were socialized in the computerization processes of society and the use of social networks, essential in the improvement of economic activity and positioning on electronic platforms.
Luis Arena, commercial of the COPEXTELHolguín Company, one of the entities participating in the Forum, told the ACN that this group offers import services for supplies, which contributes to the modernization of the equipment and also contributes to counteract the deficiencies caused by the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba for six decades.
In the Forum, organized by the government in the province, has the participation of around 20 companies and entities of production and services in lines such as fishing, canning production, agricultural implements, the Popular Savings Bank, graphic and Various local industries, as well as a representation of the Micros, Small and Medium Enterprises, known as Mypimes, approved in the territory.
The program includes exhibitions, conferences, panels, business rounds and other collateral activities aimed at promoting links between economic actors, substituting imports, and linking science, technology, and computerization to production processes and social development.
The Entrepreneurs Forum will run until next Saturday the 18th.
