The “Héroes del 26 de Julio”mechanical production enterprise, in the eastern Cuban province of Holguín seeks to boost the export of agricultural implements to foreign markets, as one of the alternatives to contribute to increasing the income of foreign currency to the economy of the industry and contribute to the technological development of their work machinery.

Juan Carlos Parga Palacio, director of the entity, told ACN that commercial relations have already been established with countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region such as Bolivia and Jamaica.

These commercial agreements will allow foreign companies to request the type of part they need to acquire for their machinery, so the Holguín mechanical industry is in charge of making such orders, he explained.

In general, he stressed, companies require replacement parts for plows and harrows of different designs and dimensions, including the dissimilar varieties of harrow blades.

This industry, inaugurated by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in July 1981, is also dedicated to the manufacturing of agricultural implements of the Gelma Agricultural Supplies Company in Cuba, as well as the start-up and modernization of the machinery used by the AZCUBA sugar company.

The Héroes del 26 de Julio Company, attached to the Steel and Mechanical Industry sector, is made up of the Agricultural Equipment and Implements factory, as well as the Banes Productions and Tauba Electric Motors units of Cacocum, which makes it a complex of importance on the Island in the sustainable development of the economy, mainly in obtaining equipment for agriculture and other means necessary for health, services and works of a social nature.
