Job applications increases in Holguín province

The Provincial Directorate of Labor in Holguín expands job opportunities for residents in the eastern territory as part of the measures contained in the Ordering Task, which aims to boost the economic and social development of the country.

Rolando Reyes, deputy director of employment of the group in the eastern territory, told ACN that so far more than six thousand people have been located, with priorities in the business sector, agriculture and self-employment, based on a rigorous analysis of the staff of each center.

He added that another alternative applied is access to specialized courses offered by the Security and Protection Systems, the Electricity Company and the Ministry of the Interior, among other entities, essential for the training of a qualified workforce, one of the main demands in the present.

According to Reyes, vulnerable families, people with physical-motor, hearing or visual disabilities and workers interrupted by the incidence of COVID-19 are prioritized in the process, as part of the protection programs for these sectors, he noted.

Since December 2020 to date, more than 11 thousand people from Holguín have applied for job, to which a position has been provided, despite existing difficulties in financing, transportation and qualification, which are under constant review by the corresponding agencies, Reyes pointed out.
