Cuba maintains an exchange with the WHO on the process of international recognition of its anti-Covid-19 vaccines with the Abdala dossier ready and that of the Sovereign line immunizers in preparation, an authority said today.

With the purpose of perpetuating the role of family medicine in the support of Primary Health Care (PHC), the municipality of Gibara, in Holguín, sponsors the first international virtual conference on this medical specialty “APSGibara2022”.

The British group The Lancet Discovery Science published a scientific article on the anti-Covid-19 Abdala vaccine, which shows that it is safe, well-tolerated, and induces a potent immune response against SARS-CoV-2; it was reported Monday.

Cuba´s Chief Epidemiologist, Dr. Francisco Duran Garcia, announced that given the high percentage of vaccination achieved, authorities have decided to lift some measures to make it more flexible for travelers coming from other countries to visit the island.
