Cuban cultural institutions call for 16th Gibara Int'l Film Festival

The ministry of culture, the Cuban institute of cinema art and industry (ICAIC), the government of Holguin and the government of Gibara have called for participation in the 16th Gibara International Film Festival (FIC Gibara 2020), to be held on July 5-11 in this eastern Cuban city.
The event, presided over by prominent actor and director Jorge Perugorria, is open to all film and audiovisual production, which will be shown in its various competitive and parallel sections.
Works in the original language, with Spanish subtitles, completed from 2018 on, can compete in the categories: Fiction Film, Fiction Short Film, Documentary Short Film, Animation and Video Art, Unpublished Script and Cinema under Construction (fiction and documentary feature films).
The jury, made up of well-known national and international cinema personalities, audiovisuals and culture in general, will award one Lucia Prize per section, as many recognitions as it considers appropriate, and in each case the decision will be irrevocable.
