For its part, Ediciones Holguin proposes a reissue of the novel for children "El Garrancho de Garabulla", by journalist and writer Ruben Rodriguez Gonzalez, recently awarded the Alejo Carpentier Prize in the story section.
The story takes place in a small country village and tells the adventures of little Erika.
For the first time La Mezquita, seal of the Union of Historians in Cuba in Holguin will open its own stand in the Great Library.
The Book Fair will pay homage to Lourdes Gonzalez Herrero, writer and director of Ediciones Holguin, on the 20th anniversary of the publication of her book "Papeles de un naufragio" and Jose Abreu Cardet, recently recognized with the National History Award.
Moisés Mayan, a well-known Holguin poet and one of the organizers of the event, said that, unlike previous editions, novel books will have a greater presence with the classic " Biografía de un cimarrón ", by Miguel Barnet and titles of Algerian authors such as " Tierra de mujeres " (Land of women) and " Senderos de Argel " (Paths of Algiers), being Algeria the guest of honor of the 28th Fair.
The closing gala is scheduled for Sunday, March 24 in the Calixto García central park of the city of Holguin.
