Holguín Writer to Present New Titles at Book Fair

Stories for children, young people and adults, short loves, humor and mystery will find the reader in the titles to be presented at the Havana Book Fair by journalist and writer Ruben Rodríguez, Alejo Carpentier Award winner.
The renowned author said that on February 12 he will present a new edition of the book El garrancho de Garabulla, published by Ediciones Holguín, which narrates in an entertaining way, the story of Ernesto, a naive and kind writer.

Sometimes a name, an anecdote or a character of reality are the starting point for a story; At other times the imagination is set in real circumstances, said Rubén Rodríguez, who also holds the Cirilo Villaverde Novel Prize, from the UNEAC, and the Celestino de Cuento, convened from Holguín by the AHS and Ediciones La Luz.
He will also present the fourth novel of the Garabulla children's series, published by Editorial Oriente, entitled La retataranieta del vikingo (The great-great-granddaughter of the viking), in which appears a strange ship that will unleash unexpected adventures starring Ernesto and his family.
Another proposal will be Los amores eternos duran solo el verano (Eternal loves last only summer), by the publishing house Letras Cubanas, a Prose book that refers to stories about loss, pain, loneliness and the need for affection.
Rodríguez explained that this is a book of stories for adults who have in common the brief love that invites us to reflect on everyday problems.
Rubén Rodríguez González presents a prolific journalistic and literary career; in hischild-youth narrative work, he treasures titles such as Rebeca Remedios y los niños más insoportables del mundo (Rebeca Remedios and the most unbearable children in the world), El maravilloso viaje del mundo alrededor de Leidi Jámilton (The Wonderful Journey of the world around Leidi Jámilton) and El final de los finales felices (The End of Happy Endings).
