National Crafts Fair opens today in Holguín

The National Crafts Fair, sponsored by the subsidiary of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC) in Holguín, takes place from today in this eastern city with the participation of more than 47 exhibitors from Havana, Las Tunas, Pinar del Río and Guantánamo.
The Fair, to be held until December 13th in the Expo-Holguín fairgrounds, will exhibit products such as textile, footwear, goldsmith, leather, fiber, ceramic, glass and ornamental plants, among others, said to the ACN Manuel Hernández, director of the FCBC in the eastern territory.
Held in greeting to the 62nd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban revolution and the 42nd anniversary of the founding of the FCBC, the fair will also hold business rounds and visual arts exhibitions.
Given the epidemiological situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event opened on digital platform, while a broad protocol of sanitary measures will be carried out with various biosafety regulations to avoid contagion, Hernández added.
Measures in clude a sanitary filter will at the entrance of the fairgrounds, open from 10 am to 5 pm, in addition to the mandatory use of the nasobuco (face mask), limited access of people to avoid mass of people at the exhibition areas and maintain social distancing.
Two hypochlorite filters will also be placed in each point of sale to decontaminate the premises, in addition to conducting the active research of workers and customers.
The National Craft Fair joins the commercial events of the FCBC in Holguín, also in charge of the fairs Arte para Mamá, Arte para Papá and Iberoarte, the most important in the country outside of Havana.
