Eleven members of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics traveled to Haiti on Tuesday to support the Cuban health brigade currently deployed in that sister nation.

Students at the University of Medical Sciences in Holguín gathered on Thursday to reaffirm their support for the Cuban Revolution and the response offered by the Government of the province to the request of a group of protesters who intend to carry out a "peaceful" march called for November 15.

The autochthonous and asymptomatic cases at the time of diagnosis mark the epidemiological situation due to COVID-19 in the province, where 243 of the 278 positives reported from February 10 to 24 correspond to cases of transmission within the territory, of which 155 did not present symptoms of the disease.

Holguín, along with Matanzas, is one of the Cuban provinces with which the Canadian government maintains the closest ties on the island, through its participation in two of the most important economic sectors in the territory: tourism and the production of nickel and cobalt.
